It is not enough to write your goal down. You have to describe it in complete detail! Make it as specific as possible.
Compare the following two statements:
“I want to buy a new home”.
and
“I want to live in a new two-story, Victorian-style home with four spacious bedrooms, luxurious living room with a fireplace and hardwood floors. I will enjoy my large backyard with swimming pool and patio”.
Stating that you "want to make a lot of money" is not a goal. It is simply a wish. Re-phrase that statement to:
“I want to earn $10,000 per month in my business by October 1, 2010”.
Now that is the goal.
